The University of Anbar is progressively developing its environmental monitoring and reporting systems, including activities related to energy use and environmental impact assessment. The university collects and monitors data related to energy consumption and sustainability performance through its relevant administrative and research units, particularly those involved in environmental and renewable energy studies.
However, the university does not yet publish a fully formalized, publicly disclosed carbon emissions report strictly aligned with the GHG Protocol Corporate Standard or an equivalent internationally standardized carbon accounting framework. Current efforts focus on building institutional capacity for environmental data collection, awareness, and sustainability reporting to support future alignment with global carbon reporting standards.
The university is actively working toward strengthening its sustainability infrastructure, which includes improving environmental data systems that could support future adoption of formal carbon accounting methodologies.

---------------------
The University of Anbar is currently in the process of developing its institutional environmental monitoring and carbon accounting framework. At present, the university does not yet publish consolidated and verified carbon emissions data for Scope 1 and Scope 2 in tCO?e, nor does it report under a fully formalized greenhouse gas inventory system aligned with international standards such as the GHG Protocol Corporate Standard.
However, the university actively monitors key indicators related to energy consumption (electricity usage and fuel consumption for operational activities) through its administrative units and sustainability-related centers. These data collection efforts represent an initial foundation for future carbon accounting and emissions reporting.
The institution is working toward strengthening its sustainability data infrastructure, which will enable accurate measurement and reporting of Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions in the future.
